Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SketchWow Inc. ("VidWow", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use vidwow.ai and our related services (the "Service"). We are based in Ontario, Canada. We comply with applicable privacy laws, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable to our users, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide: account details (such as your name, email, and password); billing information (processed by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers); and the content you upload or input, including images, prompts, scripts, and, if you use voice features, voice recordings.
Information collected automatically: usage and log data (such as pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, and approximate location derived from your IP address), device and browser information, and data from cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide and operate the Service; generate your videos, images, and audio; process payments; provide support; secure and improve the Service; communicate with you (including service messages and, where permitted, marketing); and comply with our legal obligations.
3. AI Processing and Third-Party AI Providers
To generate Output, the prompts, text, images, and scripts you submit are sent to and processed by third-party artificial-intelligence providers in three categories: image generation, text generation, and speech synthesis. These providers process your inputs to return Output to you. The AI providers we use do not, by default, use content submitted through their APIs to train their models. We name the specific providers, and keep the list current, on our Sub-processors page.
4. Voice and Biometric Information
If you use voice-cloning features, we collect and process the voice recording you submit and a derived voice model (a "voiceprint") in order to synthesize speech in that voice. This information is used only to provide the voice feature you requested. We retain it only while you maintain the associated voice or your account, and we delete it when you delete the voice or your account. We do not sell it or use it for any other purpose. You may submit only a voice you have the right to use, and you must have the consent of the person whose voice it is; we ask you to confirm this at the time of use.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only with: service providers and sub-processors that process data on our behalf (by category: AI providers, hosting and storage, database, email, analytics, and payment) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations; authorities or others where required by law or to protect rights and safety; and a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention
We keep account information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Generated videos and projects are retained according to your plan; free-tier videos may be auto-archived approximately 30 days after creation, and content associated with inactive accounts may be archived after approximately 90 days. Voice information is retained as described in Section 4. You may request deletion of your information at any time.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. To exercise these rights, contact support@vidwow.ai. We honor applicable rights under PIPEDA, the GDPR, and the CCPA, and we do not sell personal information. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner).
8. International Data Transfers
We operate from Canada, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
